AvantGarde, LLC Administrative Assistant in Washington, District Of Columbia

The AvantGarde, LLC (AG), Administrative Assistant supports the AG client on site at the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of Acquisition Management (OAM), Administrative Support Team. Candidates will provide administrative support to assist with the day-to-day operations of OAM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provides front desk customer service support for OAM services via phone, email or in person. Greets onsite visitors.

· Organizes and maintains OAM contract filling system

· Assists with preparing contractual documents

· Creates and modifies new and existing vendor enrollments in the USCP Financial Management System

· Assists the Senior Procurement Analyst with scheduling the USCP Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) training and maintains the master COR spreadsheet.

· Assists the OAM closeout team with closing out expired USCP contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

· High School Diploma is required; an undergraduate degree in business, finance or related field is strongly preferred.

· At least 2 years of experience providing general administrative support.

· Requires knowledge of MS Office suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

· The candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and sensitive information.

· Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

· Must have time management skills to prioritize workload assignments and meet scheduled deadlines.

· Must have exceptional organizational skills

· Attention to detail is required

· Flexibility with their approach in delivery of work.

Other Specifications

· Must be willing to work a typical 8-hour day with a 30 minute lunch period a minimum of 3 days onsite in a work week in Downtown DC.

· Remote work is possible 2 days a week.

· Must be able to complete security processing following USCP’s fingerprint/criminal background check process, which is unique to USCP.

ADA Specifications

· Operation of a PC in an office environment.

· This is a primarily sedentary position.

· Some bending, light lifting and carrying of equipment may be required.
